The National Informational-Methodological Center of Perinatology based at the research Institute of Mother and Child Health Care was founded with the support of UNICEF in 1999. The role of the center is to conduct the implementation of the National Perinatological Program at the national level. From 2005, the Center was awarded the title of WHO Collaborative Center, entitled “Promoting the opportune technologies in the perinatal care”. Director of the center – Professor Petru Stratulat.
Directions of Activity
- The development of national medical technologies and strengthening the perinatal services;
- Development of the human resources:
- Monitoring/evaluating the medical care provided to the mother and child;
- Development of the communication activities in the family and community and the strengthening of the scientific research;
